Is it okay to collect my sample when I’m sick?

Modified on Mon, 7 Jul at 6:05 PM

Yes. Illness and infection won’t affect your test results, so take your swab whenever you feel ready to do so.

The most important thing is to avoid eating, drinking, smoking, or brushing your teeth for 30 to 60 minutes before collecting your sample. The best results are achieved when the sample is taken first thing in the morning before brushing your teeth.
