The Pillcheck service includes a genetic test performed in a certified testing laboratory, a report of your predicted response to all Pillcheck-reported medications, and a one-time review of your medications by a specialized pharmacist.
The Pillcheck report covers several treatments for ADHD. These include:
• Amphetamine (Adderall)
• Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine)
• Atomoxetine (Strattera)
• Guanfacine (Intuniv)
• Bupropion (Wellbutrin, off-label)
• Viloxazine (Qelbree)
Some medications used as first-line therapy for ADHD, such as Ritalin, Concerta, Biphentin, and Vyvanse, do not yet have enough clinical evidence to establish pharmacogenetic guidelines. Therefore, we don't currently include them on the Pillcheck report.
However, the pharmacist who reviews your Pillcheck will consider your history and genetic profile to suggest alternative medications if initial treatment for ADHD is not effective.
